XsOnline email supports many protcols. Under here, we will try to explain a few of them.
POP3
This is the most well known email protocol. This protocol is used to download emails to your PC. However, the email is usually removed from the server when downloaded. This creates extra space in your mailbox, but older email will no longer be available using webmail.
IMAP
This is also a widely spread email protocol. The biggest difference between IMAP and POP3, is that your email stays on the server. This allows to manage your emails online, but it consumes more space in your mailbox. If you travel a lot, this is the system for you.
SMTP
This is the protocol used to send email.
